Copenhagen Architecture Biennial Launches with 'Slow Down' Theme, Spanning Two Cities

The first Copenhagen Architecture Biennial is set to take place from 18 September to 19 October 2025, under the curation of Josephine Michau. This event will showcase more than 150 exhibitions, film screenings, discussions, and temporary pavilions in both Copenhagen and Malmö. Notable pavilions include Barn Again by Tom Svilans and THISS Studio, as well as Inside Out, Downside Up by Slaatto Morsbøl. The main exhibition, titled Slow Down, will be hosted at Halmtorvet 27 and Malmö's Form/Design Center, featuring works from CENTRALA and Studio Tideland. The film lineup offers premieres alongside classics such as Jacques Tati's Mon Oncle. The Assemble! symposium will gather professionals to discuss regenerative building, with opening events held at Thorvaldsens Museum, highlighting a transformative approach in architectural dialogue.
