Coordinated gallery openings in Turin feature Baumgarten, Ruth, Schneider

A series of coordinated gallery openings in Turin on June 8-9, 2016, brings together multiple venues and artists. Franco Noero opens a second location with a Lothar Baumgarten solo show, while Giorgio Galotti's GRGLT hosts a 24-hour exhibition by Australian artist Augustus Ruth, featuring a 1974 work by Giuseppe Chiari with the phrase 'L'arte è finita, smettiamo tutti insieme.' Ruth's first Italian show includes 'Please drop my baby at home (Cornucopia),' a Japanese compact car holding a ceramic fruit sculpture. Guido Costa Projects presents Gregor Schneider's 'Opere da una Collezione,' works from a private collection. Francesco Barocco shows engravings at Norma Mangione, and the fifth chapter of 'Laboratorio del Dubbio' at Toolbox features a collaboration between Giulia Cenci and Marco Mazzoni. Baumgarten also participates in a conversation with Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev at Castello di Rivoli on June 7 and a film screening at Cinema Massimo on June 8.
