CoopCulture opens new café concept store at Museo Salinas in Palermo

CoopCulture inaugurates the Cafè Culture Concept Store at the Museo Archeologico Antonino Salinas in Palermo on June 28, 2018. The new space combines a café with WiFi, a bookshop, and a welcome point, filling a service gap at the museum. The café will feature local products from Illy, Freschette, Costa pastry shop, Panificio Graziano, La Drogheria, i Cuochini, and wines from Tasca d’Almerita and Baglio di Pianetto. The bookshop will offer art publications, Sicilian publishers' works, local crafts, and Libera Terra products from confiscated mafia lands. The project includes CULTURE HUB, a participatory cultural program involving local associations and operators. For the opening, the museum will present InLumina, a videomapping show by OddAgency highlighting the collection, including the Gorgon mask from Temple C at Selinunte. The initiative is part of the museum's modernization and its role as a venue for Manifesta 12 collateral events. The museum currently hosts the exhibition "When Art became part of the Landscape. Chapter I" by Evgeny Antufiev, promoted by Collezione Maramotti. Letizia Casuccio, director of CoopCulture, and Francesca Spatafora, director of Museo Salinas, emphasized the café's role in enhancing visitor experience and community engagement.
