CoopCulture Launches LIVE Culture Platform for Virtual Tours of Italian Heritage Sites

CoopCulture has launched LIVE Culture (Live Interactive Virtual Experience), a new digital platform offering live, guided virtual tours of major Italian cultural sites. Unlike pre-recorded tours, these are real-time journeys led by archaeologists or art historians who interact with participants via a virtual interface. The service targets students who missed educational trips during the pandemic, but also serves visitors unable to travel due to restrictions. Tours are available for groups of up to 15 participants. The platform was developed with startup Twiceout, combining museum education expertise with high-resolution 360° photos, full HD video, and gamified content. Current offerings include the Colosseum (with arena and underground), the Palatine's Imperial houses, the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, the Pompeii excavations, the Venaria Reale, and the Royal Museums of Turin. More sites will be added. CoopCulture describes the initiative as a "pre-experience" to motivate future in-person visits or enrich past ones, developed during the pandemic with support from Industria 4.0 incentives.
