Convivium: Interfaith Dialogue Through Contemporary Art in Polignano
In Polignano a Mare, the Fondazione Museo Pino Pascali is hosting an exhibition called Convivium that explores the relationships between Christianity, Judaism, and Islam through contemporary art. Led by Rosalba Branà and Antonio Frugis, the exhibition, titled Sotto lo stesso cielo, showcases four artists: Massimo Ruiu, Zino (Luigi Franchi), Takoua Ben Mohamed, and Boaz Arad. Ruiu presents Mare di Lacrime, featuring a stingray and blurred faces of those lost at sea. Ben Mohamed uses comics to address women's roles in Islam, while Arad’s video installation reimagines Hitler with animated mustaches. Zino's interactive work includes stylized prayer photos alongside an app to hear the prayers, reflecting on globalization's impact on faith. The exhibition runs until May 15, 2016.
