Convivio returns to Milan for 30th anniversary with shopping and HIV prevention
After a four-year hiatus, Convivio returns to Milan's Fabbrica del Vapore from November 3 to 7, 2022. Founded by Gianni Versace in 1992 with support from Giorgio Armani, Gianfranco Ferrè, and Valentino Garavani, the charity event raises funds for Anlaids Lombardia, Italy's first non-profit against HIV. Now celebrating its 30th anniversary, Convivio features a red carpet opening and gala dinner, offering designer clothing and accessories at half price donated by top fashion houses. The event has historically engaged figures like Franca Sozzani, Emanuele Farneti (who designed the new logo with Italo Lupi), and Francesca Ragazzi. This year's edition includes early access for a €20 donation, workshops by Kikolle Lab for children aged 3-8 on the theme of care, and digital content under 'Convivio & More' featuring artist Pietro Terzini, journalist Michela Proietti, athlete Veronica Yoko Plebani, and digital creator Tamu McPherson. Anlaids president Andrea Gori stated that while HIV remains the priority, the organization aims to address future pandemic challenges.
