ContractHIL-HLS: Multi-Agent Workflow for HLS Design
A recent publication presents ContractHIL-HLS, a multi-agent workflow designed for high-level synthesis (HLS) engineering that aligns with contracts. This workflow employs a structured contract to convert natural language specifications into clear interfaces, constraints, validation checks, and rollback protocols. By integrating hardware feedback from HLS, Vivado, PYNQ runtime, as well as power and failure data into the generation loop, it enhances LLM-assisted HLS from kernel code to system and board-level closure. The agents are divided by semantic lowering and execution tasks: a Contract Agent translates natural language into the contract, an HTML Agent formats it into persistent structured HTML, and a Hardware-in-the-Loop Agent executes and updates the design based on measured outcomes.
