Contemporary Cluster presents 'Riportando tutto a casa' at Museo delle Navi Romane in Nemi
In Rome, the Contemporary Cluster gallery has launched an off-site exhibition named 'Riportando tutto a casa' at the Museo delle Navi Romane in Nemi, under the curation of Lorenzo Madaro. This exhibition, which will be open until September 30, 2023, showcases the works of 23 Italian artists, all of whom interact with the museum's collection of Roman ships and archaeological artifacts. The museum, established in the 1930s, is home to two vessels that belonged to Emperor Caligula (37-41 AD), which were retrieved from Lake Nemi between 1929 and 1931. The featured artworks include installations, sculptures, paintings, and video art that delve into themes of memory and fragments. As noted by director Daniela De Angelis, this initiative aims to blend contemporary art with the museum’s permanent collection.
