Contemporary Art Exhibition at Leonardo Trulli Resort in Locorotondo

From July 13 to September 30, 2026, the Leonardo Trulli Resort in Locorotondo, Italy, hosts "Ritorni. Il Risveglio delle origini" (Returns. The Awakening of Origins), a contemporary art exhibition curated by Rosalba Cardone in collaboration with Oblong Contemporary Gallery. The show transforms the historic family estate, originally built by the Cardone family over three centuries ago, into an experiential art itinerary among trulli, gardens, and olive groves. Six artists—Fulvio Bifarini, Stefano Bombardieri, Silvia Della Rocca, Giuseppe Maiorana, Gianfranco Meggiato, and Stefano Pierotti—present works that engage with themes of memory, nature, and heritage. The exhibition is structured as a symbolic journey through six stages: awakening of matter, memory, life, humanity, dance, and cosmos. Bifarini's large abstract canvases are displayed indoors, while sculptures by the other artists are placed outdoors, interacting with the landscape. The project honors Leonardo, the original owner of the masseria, and aims to keep the site alive as a cultural space rather than a static museum. Admission is free but requires reservation.
