Contempopránea Festival Marks 30 Years of Indie Pop with Nostalgic Short Film

The Contempopránea festival in Extremadura, Spain, has released a retrospective short film titled '30 años de pop y amistad' (30 Years of Pop and Friendship) to celebrate three decades of independent music. The film, which premiered as a prelude to the CPOP mini-festival, revisits the emotional legacy of the festival through testimonials from artists, journalists, and audiences. It features historical posters and iconic concerts that showcased pioneering Spanish indie bands. The CPOP event will take place on August 21 and 22 at the Paseo de las Laderas del Castillo de Luna in Alburquerque, the festival's original location until 2019. Performers include Meteosat and Nosoträsh. The short film serves as a nostalgic homage to the festival's impact on Spanish indie pop, highlighting its role in nurturing a generation of music fans and artists.
