Consumer Reports has released ratings for two-in-one blender and food processor combination appliances, revealing that only two models currently make the cut. The Cuisinart Velocity Ultra Trio BFP-650, priced at $190, scored 68 out of 100 in blending mode, with excellent puree performance and good scores for icy drinks and ice crushing. In food processor mode, it scored 65, with good shredding but fair chopping and grating. The Ninja Master Prep Professional QB1004, at $60, also scored 68 in blending, with good puree and ice crushing, and 64 in food chopper mode, earning a recommendation specifically for that function. The Ninja's food chopper mode excelled at grating. The tests evaluated blending on purees, icy drinks, and ice crushing, and food processing on chopping, grating, and shredding. The results suggest that these combos often perform better in one mode than the other, and buyers should prioritize their primary use.
