Constanze Ladner's Historic Wiesbaden Apartment Renovation Blends Original Details with Modern Design

In Wiesbaden, Germany, architect Constanze Ladner has finalized the renovation of a historic apartment, set to be completed in 2025, near the city forest. Named House SNB, this project spans 185 square meters and was overseen by Hadir Al Koshta. The design features intricately detailed stucco ceilings that vary from simple to floral patterns, complemented by herringbone parquet in communal areas and wooden floorboards in more private spaces. The interiors showcase dark door and window frames, original built-in features, and subtle remnants of past uses, creating a rich narrative depth. The project involved structural engineering by Schreinerei Stauder and Gmall, with services from Vogt & Schoor, and photography by Robert Rieger. Key manufacturers included BLASTATION, Branca Lisboa, Knoll International, Minotti, Moroso, and Philippe Starck.
