Conductor co-working space by Studio Multi and Tabitha Isobel opens in Stratford
Architecture firm Studio Multi and interior design office Tabitha Isobel have completed Conductor, a 3,400-square-metre co-working facility in east London's Stratford. Part of the Coppermaker Square build-to-rent development, the workspace prioritizes hospitality-style comfort over conventional office design. The project draws inspiration from the golden age of rail travel, Moorish architecture, and historic palm courts. A double-height atrium with a glazed roof serves as the centerpiece, filled with plants and natural light. The colour palette features rust, amber, and ochre, referencing the wider Coppermaker Works development. Zones include a cafe, reception, library, and a carpeted conversation pit with an acoustic canopy. Materials like wood, ceramic, and upholstery soften the concrete structure. Tabitha Isobel founder Tabitha Organ aimed to surprise visitors that it was a workplace. The first floor houses glass-walled private offices, back-to-back booths, and lounge areas.
