Conch Station by Perform Design Studio Opens in Hainan

Perform Design Studio has completed the Conch Station, a rest area in Letao Bay, Wanning, Hainan, China. The 235 m² project, finished in 2025, is part of the Shenzhou Peninsula coastline landscape improvement initiative. Designed by lead designer Jun Zhang, with Huangming Zheng, Mingjie Xie, and Junliang Zhong, the station features two curved walls that blend into the surrounding coconut groves and beaches. Executive architect is HSA RCHITECTS, with landscape design by A&N Shangyuan International. The structure's functional spaces recede between white walls and the roof, responding to the enormous scale of nature.
