Compasso d'Oro 2020 winners announced at new ADI Design Museum

award · 2026-04-27

At the ADI Design Museum in Milan, the 26th Compasso d'Oro awards unveiled a new category dedicated to enduring products, with selected entries on display until September 16. Nine Italian designers and theorists, such as Rossella Bertolazzi and Nanda Vigo, received career accolades, along with three international personalities: Emilio Ambasz, Nasir and Nargis Kassamali, and Jasper Morrison. The newly established 'Compasso d'Oro alla carriera del prodotto' recognized iconic designs like the Sacco armchair (1968), Arco lamp (1962), and Nathalie bed (1978). Eighteen traditional awards highlighted products that embody trends like physical distancing and social inclusion, including the D-Heart device and E-lounge bench, as well as the Eutopia chair and Food for Soul, created by Massimo Bottura and Lara Gilmore.
