exhibition · 2026-04-24

The Shed in New York is hosting 'Hidden Treasures, 250 Years of Franco-American Luxury Stories,' presented by Comité Colbert, which highlights two and a half centuries of cultural exchange between France and the U.S. The exhibition is divided into five sections: First Encounters, Crossing Oceans, The Rise of Icons, Crafting Diplomacy, and Creative Resonances. Each French maison showcases one artifact, including many from previously unseen American collections. Baccarat features George Chevalier's Horloge Soleil Héritage, displayed in its inaugural U.S. boutique and later in Arthur Miller and Marilyn Monroe's residence. Christian Louboutin presents a 2012 collaboration inspired by Cinderella's glass slipper, while Yves Delorme showcases a piece on French textiles and American architecture. Van Cleef & Arpels offers a ballerina clip, and Celine shares a scarf. Tickets will be available starting April 24, with the exhibition running from May 26 to 31.
