Comitato Fondazioni Arte Contemporanea Launches Grand Tour Contemporaneo

exhibition · 2026-05-04

The Comitato Fondazioni Arte Contemporanea, a network of Italian art foundations established in 2014 by Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, has launched the Grand Tour Contemporaneo. The initiative, inaugurated on April 15, 2019, maps national foundations presenting projects with Italian artists. It coincides with the Venice Biennale, aiming to showcase Italy's diverse artistic landscape to an international audience. Committee advisor Raffaella Frascarelli described it as an indirect contribution to the Italian Pavilion, extending its research. Among participants, Nomas Foundation in Rome presents Emiliano Maggi's 'The Club,' exploring the body as a political territory. The exhibition benefits from Gucci's support, with Alessandro Michele, Gucci's creative director, influencing its aesthetic vocabulary. Scheduled events include a life drawing workshop on May 2 and a collective sewing performance with Gucci fabrics on June 5.
