Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards Unveils 2026 Video Category Finalists

The Nikon Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards has released a selection of finalists in its Video Category for 2026, featuring clips of animals in humorous situations. The competition, free to enter and open to all camera brands, aims to promote wildlife conservation through humor. Co-founder Paul Joynson-Hicks emphasized the need for positive engagement with conservation issues. Entries are due June 30, 2026. Notable videos include "You Are What You Eat" by Colleen Piggot, showing a chipmunk in Lindsay, Ontario; "Surfing Heron" by Tatjana Epp, filmed in Kruger National Park, South Africa, depicting a heron riding a hippo; "Too Cold" by Lily Bernau, featuring an Adelie penguin in Antarctica avoiding cold water; "Hugging a Best Friend" by Rahul Lakhmani, capturing kingfishers in New Delhi; "Gorilla Baby Falling Over" by Andy Rouse, shot in Rwanda; "Catting Around" by Rob Ankner, showing lions in Maasai Mara, Kenya; "Fox With The Zoomies" by Kevin Lohman, from San Jose, California; and "Red Fox Having Fun" by Heather Ferreira Cole, filmed in London. Participants can submit up to two 15-second clips; the winner receives a Nikon camera and kit.
