Columbia Threadneedle Prize Figurative Art Exhibition at Palazzo Strozzi
After its previous showing at the Mall Galleries in London, the Columbia Threadneedle Prize for figurative art is now on display at the Strozzina venue in Florence. Palazzo Strozzi marks the first Italian institution to present this final exhibition, showcasing the works of 46 artists, including the £20,000 prize winner, Lewis Hazelwood-Horner. The jury comprised Emma Crichton-Miller, David Dawson, Tim Knox, Lewis McNaught, and Arturo Galansino. In 2015, the competition attracted 3,828 submissions from participants of all ages. All exhibited pieces are figurative, available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting the artists. Additionally, workshops led by Tuscan artists Andrea Lunardi, Caterina Sbrana, and Nicola Toffolini will take place from July 1 to 24, 2016.
