Columbia Threadneedle Prize approda in Italia alla Strozzina di Firenze

Alessandro Aspesi, head of the foundation associated with Columbia Threadneedle Investments, a British asset management firm operating in 18 countries with assets totaling $420 billion, presented the foundation's initiatives and the Columbia Threadneedle Prize, an art competition for emerging artists. Established eight years ago, the prize has traditionally showcased finalist works at the Mall Galleries in London, near Buckingham Palace. This year, however, the final exhibition is being held in Italy at the Strozzina in Florence until July 24. Florence was chosen due to Italy's significant artistic and cultural heritage, highlighting a connection between Renaissance traditions and Anglo-Saxon figurative art. Three Italian artists competed in the finals in February in London. Aspesi also addressed the effects of Brexit, potential growth in Luxembourg, and the rising interest among private banking clients in art as an alternative investment that can provide portfolio stability.
