Columbia Museum of Art's 'Body Matters' Explores Craft and the Human Form

The Columbia Museum of Art (CMA) will present the exhibition 'Body Matters' from August 22, 2026, through January 3, 2027. The show, organized by the CMA, examines the reciprocal relationship between craft objects and the individuals who create and use them. Opening day will feature a Member Morning and an afternoon conversation between CMA Curator Sadé Ayorinde and featured artist Judy Moonelis. The exhibition highlights the essential role of the human body in craft, emphasizing physical labor, tactile knowledge, and material intimacy.
