Colosseum seeks new director: international call announced
Italy's Ministry of Cultural Heritage (Mibact) has published a call for applications for the director of the Archaeological Park of the Colosseum. The position, part of the museum system reform led by former minister Dario Franceschini, offers a four-year contract with an annual salary of €145,000 plus up to €35,000 in performance bonuses. Candidates must hold a master's degree and have at least five years of managerial experience in public or private institutions, or a specialized academic background. The director will oversee exhibitions, valorization, ticket pricing, acquisitions, loans, and conservation. Applications must be submitted online by April 14, 2017. A five-member expert commission will decide by June 30, 2017, with a possible 60-day extension.
