Collezione Maramotti relaunches Max Mara Art Prize and hosts Atelier dell'Errore concert
The Collezione Maramotti, established by Achille Maramotti (who passed away in 2005) within the old Max Mara factory, is reviving two significant initiatives after a hiatus due to the pandemic. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Max Mara brand. The Max Mara Art Prize for Women, in partnership with Whitechapel Gallery, reopens with Emma Talbot (born 1969, UK) as the recipient of its eighth edition. She will embark on a six-month residency in Reggio Emilia, creating new works for exhibitions in October 2022 that explore themes of power and aging through various mediums including painting, animation, and knitting. Additionally, a concert featuring Maestro Mario Brunello and Atelier dell'Errore is scheduled for June 11 at Teatro Comunale di Bologna, showcasing George Crumb's "Black Angels" and a fresh rendition of Saint-Saëns' "Carnival of the Animals."
