artist · 2026-04-26

In Sant'Antioco, Sardinia, the Collettivo EFFE is undertaking a two-week artistic residency that reinterprets the traditional costume of the town while examining the roles of women and the historical 'giudicesse' (female judges). This initiative, named Giudicesse, is supported by Csc Carbonia of the Società Umanitaria, curated by U-BOOT Lab, and executed with Ottovolante Sulcis. The residency, which runs until October 26, 2024, at the Museo Diffuso Exe, will conclude with a public presentation. Established in 2018, the collective comprises Giulia Odetto, Antonio Careddu, Camilla Soave, and Ines Panizzi. Additionally, the project addresses UN Sustainable Development Goal 5 on gender equality, involving local folk groups to highlight the costume's importance in community identity.
