Collective Reality: VR Installation at Faena Art Dome for Miami Art Week

Elena Soboleva, curator of special projects at Artsy, has organized a virtual reality installation titled Collective Reality for Miami Art Week. The event will take place on November 30 from 8 to 11 PM at the Faena Art Dome, a futuristic cylindrical building with a dome designed by Rem Koolhaas, located on the beach. The installation is a collaboration with SoundCloud and Gucci, aiming to bring VR out of headsets and into a public space. The team includes artist-in-residence at the New Museum Rachel Rossin, a VR pioneer, and musician/producer ABRA for sound. Additional works by new media artists Jon Rafman and Jacolby Satterwhite will be featured. The experience will be livestreamed on Artsy's Facebook page with 360-degree videos.
