Collection Lambert's Symphonic Exhibition in Avignon Features Shilpa Gupta, Geumhyung Jeong, Jumana Manna

The Collection Lambert in Avignon is presenting a group exhibition titled 'Le murmure des Libres' from May 24 to September 20, 2026, featuring three women artists from the Middle East, South Asia, and East Asia: Indian artist Shilpa Gupta, South Korean artist Geumhyung Jeong, and Palestinian artist Jumana Manna. The exhibition, held at the Hôtel de Montfaucon, includes videos, installations, sculptures, paintings, photographs, sound works, and performances. Each artist explores themes related to their territories of origin, addressing global issues such as ideological extremism, border tensions, alienation, violence on bodies and landscapes, and the relationship between humans and machines. Additionally, the exhibition includes works by Kim Gordon, singer and bassist of Sonic Youth, showcasing her visual art practice. The show is part of the Avignon Festival's programming, which this year celebrates the Korean language. The exhibition was reviewed in Beaux Arts Magazine's special summer double issue (No. 505-506, July 2026).
