Collectible Design Fair Returns to Brussels for Sixth Edition

The Collectible contemporary design fair, founded in 2018 by Clélie Debehault and Liv Vaisberg, held its sixth edition in Brussels, moving to a larger venue at Tour & Taxis with a layout by Volfram studio. The fair focuses on young designers and limited editions, positioning itself uniquely among design events—comparable to PAD but without 20th-century design. New sections this year include New Garde (emerging galleries), Architect Designer (curated by Nicolas Schuybroek), and Dialogue (curated by Jean-François Declercq, pairing 1980s-90s pieces with contemporary works). Notable exhibitors include Mia Karlova, Objects with Narratives, Tableau, Aether/Mass, and Maak & Transmettre. The Curated section, curated by Leo Orta, features early works by recent graduates. A common aesthetic across the fair emphasizes maximalist, non-functional, sculptural objects in metal with organic forms and artificial colors, reflecting a 'Belgitude' fluidity. The fair remains largely European, with few international galleries.
