Collater.al Magazine Opens Multifunctional Studio Space in Milan
Collater.al, a web magazine founded in 2009 by Luca Di Marco, Gabriele Infranca, and Alessandro Timpanaro, is opening its first physical studio in Milan on July 12, 2018, at Viale Bligny 41. The 150-square-meter space will house the magazine's editorial team, photo and video production facilities, and offer co-working for creatives. It will also host exhibitions, events, book presentations, concerts, and temporary shops. The inauguration features a live painting performance by artist Moneyless, accompanied by music and a DJ set. The founders previously ran the successful blog Cocacolla.it, which was shut down in 2012 after receiving legal threats from The Coca-Cola Company over trademark infringement. The domain later became a Spanish amateur porn site. Collater.al evolved from a blog into a structured magazine with a team of three editors publishing eight daily articles, plus offering digital consulting, creative direction, and design services. The team had been working from a co-working space for two years before deciding to open their own studio. Di Marco left his stable job in January 2018 to focus on Collater.al full-time.
