Collaborative Practices in AI Healthcare Research: An Interview Study

A recent study released on arXiv (2311.18424) examines collaborative methods in the intersection of AI and healthcare research. The researchers performed an inductive thematic analysis based on 13 semi-structured interviews with members of early-stage AI-in-healthcare research consortia in the UK. The research characterizes AI as 'sociotechnical,' highlighting the intertwined nature of social and technical elements in its development.
