Colla Super: Milan's Quirkiest Gallery Opens with 10-Day Exhibitions

Colla Super, a tiny Milanese gallery founded in 2022 by four friends, operates with a unique concept: each exhibition lasts only 10–15 days, mimicking the usage instructions of a glue stick. The 24-square-meter space, located in Milan, is run by Marco Bertani (photographer and visual arts lover), Francesco Buonfino (artist), Eric Tacchini (photographer), and Matteo (aka Fumatto, creative communication specialist). The gallery describes itself as a "contemporary glue" that binds experimental languages. In March 2023, it hosted Rosa Anzalone, a 35-year resident of the apartment above the gallery, who presented about 60 floral-themed drawings curated by Camillo Oliveira. During miart 2023, Colla Super collaborated with Collectible Dry to exhibit works by Mattia Giordano (Turin, 1995) and Livia Chiffi (Gallarate, 1997) in their first official show. Chiffi, a former illustrator, presented organic, symbolic works; Giordano, a fashion photographer, debuted his first painted canvas inspired by a child's discarded rainbow drawing. The opening on April 14 featured the artists dressed by Paul Smith, with a video-art piece by MSGM. The gallery's motto: "Do not avoid contact with eyes."
