Colapesce's first photo exhibition opens in Milan
Lorenzo Urciullo, known as Colapesce of the duo Colapesce Dimartino, presents his first solo photography exhibition 'Doppia Uso Singola' at Galleria Patricia Armocida in Milan from May 15 to June 27, 2025. The show features 200 photographs divided into three sections: Dus/Teresa e Anna/Giorni sfiniti, exploring solitude in space, the symbiotic relationship between his grandmother and great-aunt, and paradoxes of Sicily. Prints are 20x20 cm or 10x10 cm on Hanhemule PhotoRag ultra smooth 305gsm paper, selected from over 1,800 images spanning more than a decade. Urciullo, who describes himself as a simple photo amateur, was convinced by gallerist Patricia Armocida to exhibit publicly. He is also a musician, graphic novelist (La distanza, 2015), actor, and filmmaker; his film Iddu is shortlisted for David di Donatello 2025 in Best Composer and Best Original Song categories.
