Cogito: Tasca d'Almerita's itinerant cultural aperitifs in Sicily

Since 2016, the historic Sicilian winery Tasca d'Almerita has hosted Cogito, a series of cultural aperitifs in Palermo blending wine, theater, and intellectual debate. Founded by Alberto and Francesca Tasca d'Almerita, the format aims to foster positive dialogue on contemporary society, involving experts, journalists, and the public. The events feature a 'CogitAttore' (actor Salvo Piparo, directed by Alfio Scuderi) who uses theatrical irony to guide discussions. Past topics include future, Italian identity, environment, technology, AI, school, books, startups, food, family, universe, and social media. Venues have included Villa Tasca, Teatro Massimo, Museo delle Marionette, Conservatorio Bellini, and Biblioteca Regionale. On June 22, a special aperitivo will host collector Massimo Valsecchi, who is creating a museum at Palazzo Butera housing works from ancient to contemporary art.
