Club Dogo Photobook Reveals Intimate Side of Italian Rap Trio

Photographers Enrico Rassu and Alessandro Simonetti have released a photobook documenting the Italian rap group Club Dogo, capturing the trio—Jake la Furia, Guè, and Don Joe—both on and off stage. The book, published by Rizzoli, aims to provide an intimate and unprecedented look at the group that defined an era of Italian rap. Rassu and Simonetti, who met in New York years ago, collaborated on the project, with Rassu proposing the idea to Club Dogo and their team. The photographers followed the group during all ten of their San Siro stadium dates. The book also includes images of fans, collaborators, and locations, offering a broader view of the scene surrounding the group. Simonetti, a former graffiti writer active during the Italian graffiti Golden Age, brought his background in urban culture to the project. Rassu, who grew up between Sardinia, Milan, and London, has worked with record labels, fashion brands, and events. The book launch included a signing event with a queue of about a hundred fans. The photographers have also worked with other artists such as Sfera Ebbasta, Roshelle, Gemitaiz, Madame, Guè, and Ernia. The book was designed by Luca Ricci, edited by Katamashi, and supported by Deantartica, Chiara Bagnardi, and Shablo.
