Claudio Vandelli Extends Contract as Chief Conductor of Würth Philharmoniker Through 2029

The Würth Philharmoniker have extended Claudio Vandelli's contract as chief conductor for two additional years, now running through June 2029. Vandelli has led the orchestra since January 2020, overseeing its growth by 20 professionally trained musicians, expanding its repertoire, and releasing three CDs. Under his direction, the ensemble has performed at major venues including the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, the George Enescu Festival in Bucharest, the Großes Festspielhaus Salzburg, and the Berlin Philharmonie. The orchestra has also increased its international visibility through live streaming and guest performances. C. Sylvia Weber, managing director of the Reinhold Würth Musikstiftung gGmbH, emphasized the importance of continuity and creativity, aligning with the goals of the Würth Group. Vandelli expressed enthusiasm for continuing the collaboration and highlighted a planned joint tour. Martin Panteleev remains first guest conductor, and Elisabeth Fuchs leads student and family concerts, which will be fully supported by the orchestra starting next season. Kent Nagano serves as honorary conductor. The Würth Philharmoniker are based at the Carmen Würth Forum in Künzelsau and were founded in 2017.
