Claudio Marinaccio’s Comic Tour of Vienna’s Albertina Museum
Italian cartoonist Claudio Marinaccio (Turin, 1982) has created a comic strip for Artribune magazine (#69) that guides readers through the Albertina Museum in Vienna. The comic captures his impressions of the institution, which is housed in the former largest residential palace of the Habsburgs. The Albertina holds one of the world's most extensive and valuable graphic collections, with one million works including masterpieces by Albrecht Dürer, Michelangelo, Rembrandt, Egon Schiele, and Gustav Klimt. Its permanent collection also features Impressionist to contemporary works, such as Monet's Water Lily Pond, Degas's Dancers, Renoir's Portrait of a Young Girl, and pieces by Max Beckmann, Marc Chagall, Mark Rothko, and Alex Katz. Marinaccio's comic follows his previous Artribune feature on the Musée d'Orsay in Paris.
