Claudia Imbert Wins Prix Jeune Création and Prix Arcimboldo
Claudia Imbert has been awarded the Prix Jeune Création (first prize) for her video installation 'Le cercle' (2011), a looped projection on three U-shaped screens, presented at the Arte research workshop. The second prize (Prix Boesner) went to Christophe Sarlin for his installation of three works. The jury was chaired by Jean de Loisy, President of Palais de Tokyo, and included José-Manuel Gonçalvès, Kamel Mennour, Jens Emil Sennewald, Cédric Schönwald, Tatiana Trouvé, and Nathalie Viot. Additionally, Imbert received the Prix Arcimboldo 2012 from Gens d'Images and the Swiss Life Foundation for her work 'La famille incertaine'. The Prix Arcimboldo is the only prize dedicated to photographic creation using digital tools, supported by the Ministry of Culture and Communication. Armelle Canitrot sponsored the work. The jury included Sophie Bernard, Nathalie Bocher-Lenoir, Guy Boyer, Jacques Deret, Eric Dereumaux, Didier de Fays, Marta Ponsa, Anne-Marie Lasry, Baudoin Lebon, Hervé Le Goff, Monique Plon, and Philippe Serenon.
