Clarissa Diniz Curates Collective Studio Exhibition 'fragmento I: vento pórtico' at Nonada ZN

Curator Clarissa Diniz has organized the collective exhibition 'fragmento I: vento pórtico' at Nonada ZN, conceived as a shared studio rather than a traditional show. The project, which began in March, brings together artists Iah Bahia, Loren Minzú, and Siwaju Lima for site-specific investigations using materials found in the former Marilan lingerie factory. Diniz selected the artists based on intersecting poetic practices and a desire to see them collaborate. Iah Bahia (1993, São Gonçalo, RJ) creates interdisciplinary works with fabric and urban waste, highlighting tensions in inhabited space. Loren Minzú (1999, São Gonçalo, RJ) presents audiovisual works, installations, and sculptures with organic materials, exploring temporal and spatial imagery. Siwaju Lima (1997, São Paulo, SP) exhibits sculptures from repurposed iron, investigating relationships between matter, symbols, and the body. The research revolves around imaginaries of wind, movement, void, and the hollow. A second phase, 'fragmento II,' will focus on themes of trap, defense, and armor with the same artists. Diniz emphasizes an ethical, non-extractive approach where materials are treated as 'accomplice bodies.'
