Clare Lilley exits Yorkshire Sculpture Park after three years as director

On Tuesday, Yorkshire Sculpture Park (YSP) announced that Clare Lilley has resigned from her position as director after three years. Lilley, who has been with YSP for over thirty years, held several curatorial roles before becoming the director of programme. She took over from founding director Peter Murray in 2022 and has curated notable exhibitions featuring artists such as Ai Weiwei, Amar Kanwar, Bharti Kher, Giuseppe Penone, and Yinka Shonibare. Her last exhibition, showcasing William Kentridge, will be available until 19 April 2026. From 2012 to 2022, she was also the curator for Frieze Sculpture at Regent's Park in London. Kevin Rodd, the deputy director, will act as interim director while a search for a permanent successor is conducted.
