Clara Ohde Blends Pixel Art with Crochet Through Industrial Design Perspective

Clara Ohde, an Argentine artist and industrial designer from La Plata, Buenos Aires, merges traditional craftsmanship with digital aesthetics in her creative practice. She completed her Industrial Design studies at the National University of La Plata (UNLP) between 2015 and 2021. Currently serving as a professor at UNLP, Ohde teaches Ergonomics and Design courses. Her artistic approach is characterized by an analytical yet tactile methodology that bridges handmade techniques with contemporary digital influences. Ohde views her design background as fundamental to her worldview, describing it as "the lens through which I see the world." This perspective informs her unique fusion of pixel art aesthetics with traditional crochet methods.
