City Game 'Collezionisti per un giorno' Returns to Milan
On October 13, 2019, the city game 'Collezionisti per un giorno' returns to Milan, organized by the Giovani Amici del Museo Bagatti Valsecchi for under-35s. The initiative, conceived in 2016 by the Speechati group, aims to introduce young people to collecting. Teams of four to six members earn virtual currency ('bagattoli') through practical and cultural challenges in three hours, then use it to acquire items like vases, furniture, and paintings to build their own collection. In 2019, the game was developed by students from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano as part of their course in Economics and Management of Cultural Heritage and Entertainment. The project is supported by Casa d’Aste Cambi, the Associazione dei Giovani Antiquari di Milano, the fencing group Fratres in enses sala d’arme Fisas Milano, Associazione Con.Cre.to, FIAB Milano Ciclobby, and Giovani di Milano per la Scala. Participants receive an aperitif and prizes including stays in luxury castles and high-end dinners. The game's theme honors the museum founders Fausto and Giuseppe Bagatti Valsecchi, who spent their lives collecting curious and unique objects.
