CittàForesta Festival Returns to Rome with Italo Calvino's Cosmicomics as Guide
The participatory festival CittàForesta, in its second edition and organized by Latitudo Art Project, which recently won the Estate Romana, occurred from July through mid-October across five neighborhoods in Rome: Labaro, Laurentino, Corviale, Tufello, and Trullo. Inspired by Italo Calvino's 'Le Cosmicomiche,' the event hosted twenty workshops that involved local residents in various creative endeavors. Featured artists comprised Gaia Scaramella, Iginio De Luca, Julia Jenewein, and street artist Davide D'Angelo (URKA). Benedetta Carpi De Resmini, a co-creator of the project, emphasized the importance of local 'door keepers' in fostering community involvement. Among the highlights were families participating throughout the festival and a child tearfully inquiring about its return.
