Cittadellarte opens Hotel Cittadellarte and Terme Culturali at Arte al Centro 2026

Over 1,000 visitors attended the opening of Arte al Centro 2026 at Cittadellarte Fondazione Pistoletto in Biella on May 15, 2026. The 28th edition of the annual review, part of the Festival dello Sviluppo Sostenibile 2026 promoted by ASviS, focused on hospitality as a cultural and civic practice. Two major launches marked the event: Hotel Cittadellarte, a 31-room artistic hotel featuring Giuseppe Stampone's exhibition 'L'ospite Inatteso' curated by Ilaria Bernardi, and Terme Culturali, immersive art-based wellness programs for groups and companies curated by Armona Pistoletto. The Minimum Prize 2026 was awarded to Giorgio de Finis and the MAAM – Museo dell'Altro e dell'Altrove di Metropoliz in Rome, recognizing their civic art practice that secured 144 public housing units and a new museum. Other highlights included the exhibition 'Dans les plis – Ogni punto è il centro dell'universo' curated by Ilaria Bernardi, focusing on the traditional dress of Scanno and pleating techniques; CirculART 4.0 project in partnership with Kering's Material Innovation Lab; and Ecosystems as Living Communities featuring artists Emma Zerial and Eliza Collin. New spaces included Universario dedicated to Michelangelo Pistoletto's 'Formula della Creazione' and the exhibition Uffizi. Installations included Selfie Robot / Selfie Interview and Mirror of Eternity by Pistoletto in partnership with DMINTI and Galleria Continua. The program runs until December 31, 2026.
