Cité des sciences et de l'industrie celebrates 40 years

The Cité des sciences et de l'industrie in Paris marks its 40th anniversary in 2026. Inaugurated in 1986 at Parc de La Villette, the institution will host a festive weekend on May 30-31 featuring participatory experiences, demonstrations, workshops, and installations themed around 'the Cité of tomorrow'. Throughout the year, a conference series will explore four decades of climate science, genetics, astrophysics, epidemics, and digital technology, aiming to make major scientific issues accessible to the public.
