Circoloquadro Opens New Exhibition Space in Milan's Niguarda District
Circoloquadro, an art space founded in 2010 by Arianna Beretta, is opening a new venue in Milan's Niguarda district on July 5, 2018. After closing its exhibition space on Corso Buenos Aires in July 2017 due to operational issues, the association continued its educational workshops. The new location was secured through a Milan city council call for cultural projects in the suburbs. The inaugural show, titled 'Tropicana,' features an installation by Massimo Dalla Pola: a golden artificial beach with a deckchair and a three-meter-high palm tree, visible from the street through a window. The work references Alberto Sordi's film 'Dove vai in vacanza?' and will be on view through July and the first two weeks of September. Niguarda has seen growing cultural activity, including the 2016 opening of the Cittadella degli Archivi and a neon installation by Vedovamazzei in March 2018.
