Cinzia Ruggeri's 'Déconnexion' at Galleria Campoli Presti, Paris

exhibition · 2026-05-04

Galleria Campoli Presti in Paris presents 'Déconnexion', the first solo exhibition of Italian multidisciplinary artist Cinzia Ruggeri (Milan, 1945) at the gallery. The show spans two floors at 6 and 4 rue de Braque, featuring around twenty works including installations, accessories, jewelry, and design pieces that explore the relationship between the animate and inanimate in objects. Ruggeri's eclectic practice has long blurred boundaries between architecture, art, fashion, and design, drawing from the Radical Design scene of 1970s Milan, Studio Alchimia, and the Memphis Group. Her first exhibition in 1960 at Galleria del Prisma in Milan was accompanied by a critical text by writer Dino Buzzati. Notable works include 'Schiaffo Bag', an ironic round leather bag with integrated gloves for carrying items, covering hands, or slapping someone, and 'Stivali Italia', knee-high boots shaped like the Italian peninsula with matching pochette resembling Sicily and Sardinia. The exhibition runs from February 7 to March 16, 2019.
