Cildo Meireles' Major Retrospective 'Entrevendo' Concludes with Special Programming at Sesc Pompeia

The extensive retrospective 'Entrevendo' for Carioca artist Cildo Meireles is nearing its end at Sesc Pompeia in São Paulo, featuring a final program of guided tours and film screenings. Curators Júlia Rebouças and Diego Matos, along with curatorial assistant Marília Loureiro, will lead six free guided visits on specific dates in January, each limited to 20 participants. The Sesc Pompeia Theater will host three evenings of short films about Meireles's work, followed by discussions with guests. Screenings include 'Inserções em circuitos ideológicos' (1970/2013) directed by Meireles and 'Cildo Meireles' (1979) by Wilson Coutinho on January 15, with a talk featuring researcher Aracy Amaral. 'Gramática do Objeto' (2000) by Felipe Sá and Frederico Morais screens on January 22, followed by a conversation with critic Frederico Morais. A super-8 record of the installation 'Eureka/Blindhotland' (1975) will be shown on January 29, with a talk involving Meireles himself. All theater events are free, with tickets available one hour prior. The exhibition, which gathers approximately 150 works including installations, paintings, sculptures, and drawings, runs until February 2 with free admission.
