Ciak Collecting: A Dual Exhibition and Publication on Italian Collecting at ArtVerona
The inaugural ArtVerona since the pandemic, overseen by Stefano Raimondi, showcases the Ciak Collecting – Collezionismo Italiano Attivo project, curated by Irene Sofia Comi. This exhibition, located at Palazzo Orti Manara, is open until October 31, 2021, and features nearly 60 pieces from 55 global artists. Highlights include videos by Cally Spooner and Elena Mazzi, works by Keren Cytter, paintings from Benedikt Hipp, photographs by Irene Fenara, tapestries by Thomas De Falco, and sculptures by Hannah Levy. The Salone d'Onore commemorates 15 years of collecting with eight rooms dedicated to specific projects, such as Seven Gravity Collection and GRID by Eddy Merckx Curating. A digital component is accessible on the ArtVerona website, accompanied by a publication of critical essays and survey sheets.
