CIAC Foligno 2016/2017 Season Focuses on Sandro Chia and Hermann Nitsch
The CIAC Centro Italiano Arte Contemporanea in Foligno has unveiled its exhibition lineup for 2016/2017, commencing on October 14, 2016, with "Sandro Chia – Il Viandante," which will be on display until January 29, 2017. This showcase includes recent pieces alongside eleven large canvases created between 1998 and 2003, provided by Galleria Mazzoli. A preview lecture led by Emily Braun is scheduled for October 15 at ex Chiesa della SS.Trinità. In 2017, CIAC plans to present an exhibition by Hermann Nitsch in partnership with Fondazione Morra and Museo Hermann Nitsch. Director Italo Tomassoni emphasized the previous season's achievements and the necessity for increased private funding to aid exhibitions and emerging artists. Currently, CIAC's only sponsor is Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Foligno.
