Chuck and George's 25-Year Partnership Celebrated in Dallas Exhibition Featuring 80+ Tributes

exhibition · 2026-04-22

For 25 years, the Texas-based artistic team of Chuck and George, comprising Brian K. Jones and Brian K. Scott, has been creating together. Their exhibition titled "Who's Afraid of Chuck and George?" was showcased at CentralTrak, The University of Texas at Dallas, from February 13 to April 4, 2015, displaying over 80 pieces produced in 2014. Curated by Heyd Fontenot, the exhibit transformed a hallway leading to studios to echo their Oak Cliff residence. It delved into themes of identity blending, featuring works such as Jason Cohen's "Chuck and George of Finland" and Mark Ross's combined portrait. Other notable contributions included fabric sculptures by Gillian Bradshaw Smith and J.D. Talasek's photograph "Brian and Brian," addressing life’s journey from sexual awakening to aging with a playful dark cartoonish style.
