Sotheby's Unwrapped I auction on February 17, 2021 in Paris achieved €8,048,310, selling all 28 lots from the private collection of Christo and Jeanne-Claude. Christo's The Umbrellas (Joint Project for Japan and USA) from 1991 set new artist records: Lot 19 sold for €1,706,500 and Lot 20 for €1,222,500, both far above the €200,000–300,000 estimate. Package (1961) quintupled its estimate to €520,700. Store Front, Project (1964) reached €302,400, and The Pont Neuf Wrapped, Project for Paris (1985) sold for €472,300. Among other artists, Lucio Fontana's Concetto Spaziale, Attesa (1963) tripled its €300,000 estimate to €920,000. Mimmo Rotella's Tre (1963) sold for €81,900 (estimate €30,000). William N. Copley's Lady Windermere's Fan (1965) achieved €252,000. Yves Klein's Monochrome bleu sans titre (1958) sold for €436,000, more than double its low estimate.
